This week's Baked Sunday Mornings challenge is for Whiskey Peach Upside-Down Cake. The beautiful presentation of this warm, yummy cake belies how easy it is to prepare. Imagine peaches encased in whiskey-scented caramel on top of warm, soft, buttery cake topped with whiskey whipped cream! Yum!
Just flip it and serve it!
We had my family to dinner tonight and served this cake for dessert. Everyone enjoyed it immensely. Lucky for us - there are a couple of slices left! This is a great cake for company because you can prepare it ahead of time, slide it into the oven just as your guests arrive, then serve it warm for dessert. It's easy and elegant.
John and I have full-time professional jobs but enjoy cooking with the freshest local ingredients we can find. We visit the Farmers' Market each week to see what's new and buy seafood right off the boats in Channel Islands Harbor.
We also love to travel, locally and abroad, so often bring gourmet treats and seasonings home with us. Our blog is peppered with photos of the places we visit as well.
We hope you enjoy reading our posts as much as we enjoy creating them!
